The 30+10 version of Karrimors Boma is indentical to the larger 'sack with one very important diference. This is design for ladies and the S straps on the back system are shaped for the shoulder shape and clavical displacement. This is seriously important when you fill it with gear and put it on your back! The 30+10 Boma also has a slightly shorter back system that will aid fitting it properly for women climbers.

With a heritage of making climbing rucksacks that goes back to 1957 Karrimor are always going to come up with products that make the best use of new materials. Their design skills are also used here to change the way you access your gear too. The Hypalon fabric is a new material and gives the Boma an incredibly tough outer that is totally waterproof too. The material uses neoprene impregnated nylon and is both expensive and very durable, in this are of performance you get what you pay for!

This rucksack is built for serious climbers, guides, instructors and rescue personel. It is made for hard use over long periods and the features bear out the purpose for which it is intended. When you get a rack of hardwear, a rope or two plus some personal kit as well a mid range sized sack such as the Boma can get very heavy.
This is where the back system for which Karrimor are rightly proud helps to make the load carrying as easy as it can be made. The Fformat system and the S shaped harness allow the Boma to be tuned to the owners shape better than any climbing sack I have used for ages. Favorite features are the YKK Splashguard zip which allows access to a large pocket on the rear of the Boma. The zip runs vertically to open a flat pocket that is large enough for extra layer of clothing to stored. Zips are also used to give side access to the main compartment on both the left and right of the 'sack. A top lid with one external and one internal compartments complete the storage options. Double drawcords help to seal the top access to the main compartment.

The number of access points to the main compartment gives you the freedom to pack the sack and get at all your gear without having to empty it completely! The double layer of material on the base will make sure that heavy climbing loads don't wear away from the inside while the rock wears away from the outside.

Final note - Karrimor have been using Plas Y brenin's instructors for some time to test and develop products. The Boma reflects the input of active, hard working climbers in it's features and build. If you buy one get to like it, you could be using it for a very long time!
