18th June - Greased Lightning
makes here turn to appraoch the jetty at Corpach
Fort
William - Tuesday 18th June
Geased Lightning arrive and have an interesting time in
the wild conditions getting their boat alongside and delivering
their runners. The solution is a 'handbrake turn' a bit
of reverse and some cunning steering!
The conditions here are stable, in other words it is still
blowing a gale and the rain is coming down like bullets.
The team set about getting
their runners ashore in the gathering twilight.
Too few fenders, too few
berths!
The team make a smart turn
before.....
...."all ashore for
running?"
As the darkness falls the
runner from Greased Lightning head off for a wild and
stormy night.
