17th June - Ennerdale and the
runners from Mew Gull make their way back..
Runners
and riders are still at different sections of the ennerdale
leg. Some are arriving by bike as others leave. Everything
is controlled by the sea lock and teams are trying to time
things to their advantage.
....with
a lot of style!
Ennerdale water
makes a handsome backdrop for the runners from
KAAT.
The runners from Assent make good time back to
pick up their bikes.
Phew!.
And then
onto the bikes for the fifteen mile return ride to
Whitehaven harbour.
The marshalls
checkpoint looks like a bike shop with 5 pairs of
machines waiting for their riders.
Stormcruisers
riders look fresh after their long haul to Scafell.
