Excellent moorings at Whitehaven Marina,
the new mid-point of the Three Peaks Race.

Thunderchild makes it through the sea
lock into Whitehaven Marina.
With a lifting keel she only draws 2' 6" and can
get in at low water. A distinct advantage in a race where
time matters. Thunderchild has done well in the light
winds which have slowed the race fleet down.

Ready to land.

Peter Powell races along the pontoon
to the checkpoint.

Every stage of the race has a kit check
for the runners, even on a hot, sunny afternoon full survival
gear must be carried.

Black Sail here we come.
