Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre, situated on the Quayside in Exeter, is part of Exeter College and offers innovative outdoor education, training and recreation activities and courses to a wide range of customers.  These include students training for outdoor education careers, individuals looking for short term recreational activity, individuals disengaged from education, groups and individuals with special educational needs and disabilities and professionals looking to develop their leadership skills.

We’re looking to recruit a Chief Instructor to proactively support the Centre Manager in the effective running of the centre and to work collaboratively with our other Chief Instructor to ensure the Centre provides exceptional and inclusive outdoor adventure, training and education opportunities for the surrounding community.

You will have previous experience of designing and delivering adventurous activity programmes, with enthusiasm and drive for the activities and subjects you teach. You should have excellent organisational and communication skills and an ability to deliver exceptional customer service. You will have a flexible approach and an ability to adapt to changing circumstances such as the varied weather conditions and program variations.  You should also be prepared to work weekends and evenings on a rota basis.
