Description: Now Recruiting Summer Camp Managers
High Adventure run a number of ‘Summer Camps’ for school and NCS clients from late May to August each year. The venues are scout camps, from which we rent land and facilities to put on a programme 250+ each week. We operate using tents for clients and large marquees for the catering and social space, staff are employed each year and everything gets packed into container storage at the end of the season.
Each camp is run by a manager (£750pw) and an assistant (£250pw), the domestic team is headed up by a cook and supported by our domestic director who oversees all sites.
The Camp Manager and assistant are supported by a senior Camp Director who has responsibility to assist all camps, problem solve and quality control.
We are looking to employ two new management teams (manager and assistant) We would welcome applications from either people wanting the manager role or couples wishing to fill both roles.
This is a senior role in a growing company, we pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and we are looking for professional people who are looking for a secure summer income and will run a camp each year. We are not interested at this point in anyone looking for a one off summer job.
The manager will need to have experience and qualifications in the outdoor industry and the ability to manage a team of 20+ staff. They will need to be organised, thorough and professional as the role comes with much responsibility.
The first two weeks of camp are training weeks where the management team train the staff to run the activities and set up the camp, the final week is a pack down week and in between we have 6 or 7 weeks of clients. The role is residential on site Monday to Friday leaving your weekends free.
