Watersports Instructors

UKSA is a registered charity and dedicated training establishment for a variety of water based activities. We offer a range of training for students seeking a career in the Watersports industry, through to school groups & day groups doing Sailing, Windsurfing, Paddlesports as well as full Multi Activity programmes.

We are currently seeking to recruit Instructors to add to our Watersports team of up to 50 Instructors for the 2019 season. We are looking to fill positions starting from April to run with our season finishing end of September, with the possibility of extension. 

The job will involve, teaching a variety Watersports disciplines to a wide range of customers on our RYA Adult & Youth short courses, UKSA Schools & Groups taster sessions. There will also be some evening work involved in the role which will include activities such as orienteering, soft archery team games etc. The ideal candidate will have excellent inter-personal skills, be a strong team player have excellent motivation skills, enthusiasm and a passionate about their sport.

Essential Qualifications:
* RYA Dinghy instructor
* First aid qualification (in date)
* Current, valid Enhanced DBS certificate
* Full, clean drivers licence

Desirable qualifications:
* BCU Kayak Instructor
* Powerboat Instructor
* SUP Coach Level 1 or Instructor
* Keelboat, Multihull & Racing Endorsement
* Safeguarding Level 2 training
* RYA Windsurf Instructor
* Powerboat Level 2 qualification

Training will be provided to cover the essential in-house qualifications to support our bespoke delivery. You will have the opportunity to develop your personal skills & add to your qualifications if you push yourself and prove that you are keen to develop. We run Instructor courses & endorsements all throughout the year so this is a great opportunity to gain more qualifications. Onsite accommodation and meals can be supplied at a staff discounted rate.
