Description: Storeperson – permanent post
Venture Trust works with people experiencing complicated life circumstances. Through the provision of wilderness-based personal and social development programmes, we equip them with the confidence, motivation and core life skills that they need to make positive changes in their lives.
We require a Storeperson to join our team in Stirling to support the safe and efficient resourcing of our personal development wilderness journeys. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the maintenance, upkeep and storage of all kit and equipment, and will ensure that programmed maintenance is carried out on all vehicles and trailers, with testing and certification maintained as appropriate. You will be expected to work in accordance with our Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and to adhere to all appropriate risk assessments and Health and Safety guidance and legislation. If you’re interested in a career in outdoor education or adventurous activities then this could be just the job for you.
Applicants must have strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records is also essential. Please note that a core aspect of this role involves the physical lifting of kit and equipment, and as such applicants must be able to undertake these tasks. A driving license (D1+E) is also an essential requirement. Knowledge or experience of undertaking basic vehicle maintenance and residential personal development courses would also be advantageous.
