Background:
Eaton Vale Activity Centre is Norfolk's leading education centre. A joint venture between Norfolk Scouts & Guides the centre is a community asset and aims to deliver first class outdoor activities to both local, national and international groups of all ages. The Centre provides taster sessions in paddlesport and land based activities such as Climbing, Abseiling and High Ropes to name a few.
Summary of Main Responsibilities:
To lead or assist activity sessions and maintain group control and group safety while complying to Standard Operating Procedures for the activity. The candidate will be expected to set up several activities each day as well as taking down the activities at the end of the day. The candidate will be taught how to maintain equipment and will learn how the centres checks and logs are processed as this will be a vital part of the job. The candidate will also be expected to do other tasks sych as Site Work, Cleaning, Maintenance of the Residential House and Administration.
Sucsessful candidates will need to be hardworking, enthusiastic, punctual, professional and team workers.
Qualifications: Lead Instructors - To be a lead instructor it is preferable that you have 1 or more of the following qualifications as well as experience at 1 or more Activity Centres.
BCU Level 2 Training
BCU Level 1 Assessed with Coaching Experience
SPA Training or Assessment
Level 1 Girl Guiding in Abseiling and Climbing
ERCA
Assistant Instructors - To be an assistant instructor it is essentail to have 2 or more of the following qualifications:
BCU 2star/3star
FSRT
BCU Level 1
SPA Training
ERCA
CWSA
CWA
GNAS
NRSA
MIAS
