Ackworth School is seeking to appoint a Co-ordinator for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Co-ordinator must ensure that all activities conform to the spirit of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and that standards of safety, particularly during expeditions, are maintained at the highest level. To this end, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Co-ordinator must be a qualified Mountain Leader, with a current First Aid qualification, or similar, or must be prepared to receive and pass the necessary training.
We anticipate a minimum requirement of four hours per week tuition with students during term time (30 weeks per year) and in addition a minimum of sixteen days of expeditions throughout the year.
