Grafham Water Centre is an outdoor education centre, located in rural Cambridgeshire providing a range of adventurous activities for young people and adults. Grafham Water is a reservoir some three and a half miles long and a mile and a half wide. The Centre offers a wide range of adventurous activities both water and land based.
The Centre is owned and operated by Cambridgeshire County Council but under local management. Our vision is educational, being to 'change young people's lives - a journey into learning' an aspiration that we make achievable by working closely in partnership with a variety of local schools and bodies. The Centre has developed over the last few years with the investment £3.5m in the building of a new indoor adventure hall, new accommodation block, new meeting rooms and refurbishment of existing facilities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced outdoor education instructor to develop Outdoor Education activities across the partnership between Grafham Water Centre and Hinchingbrooke School.
A willingness to be involved in the broader life of the Centre and to develop our work is crucial.
