Development Tutor (Scale 2) –REF: F0632

As a Development Tutor at Fairbridge Teesside, you will plan and deliver a range of sessions and courses (including canoeing, rock climbing, trekking as well as cooking, sports, fitness and drama) to young people as well as running residential courses. We use outdoor adventurous activities, as part of our personal development programme, to engage Teesside’s socially excluded young people and we want you to join our team to help extend it further. With a passion for the outdoors and proven relevant work experience, you will ideally have one or more, of the following qualifications:
Gorge walking – swift water rescue
Mountain Biking
SPA
ML Summer / Winter
Level 2 Canoe or Kayak Coach
Local Cave Leader
Mountain/BASP First Aid Cert
You will also have a full clean driving licence, ideally with D1 + E enabling you to drive minibuses with a trailer. Your ability to inspire and relate to our challenging client group, along with your awareness of issues affecting young people, is key.
