You’ll be joining the largest independent youth expedition provider in the UK. Your role will be to ensure the efficient delivery of Outlook’s high quality UK Programmes and Training Courses, provide hands-on leadership and management of the Courses Team and undertake a significant amount of course and programme design and delivery. You may even be asked to lead expeditions overseas.
Here are some things that you should be really good at:
Leading and inspiring a team – you should be able to pull the best out of people to help them develop and achieve their maximum potential
Decision making
Money juggling – you’ll be expected to work within a budget
Brainwaves – you’ll be full to the brim with good ideas and have the reactions of a cat when it comes to adapting to changes in the industry
Project management
Knowing your customers – you’ll be expected to deliver high quality customer service
All things outdoor adventure and youth expedition industry related (maybe not all things but definitely a lot of things)
Qualifications and experience we hope you have tucked away somewhere:
A degree or equivalent through relevant training and experience
Mountaineering - ML (W) and SPA (MIA desirable)
Paddling – 3* and Level 2 in any discipline
Gorge and Sea Level Traverse experience
Other NGB qualifications
First Aid – REC Level 2 or equivalent as a minimum
Current log book experience
Knowledge of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at all levels and its delivery in the UK and overseas
You’re going to need a full driving licence with minibus entitlement
