Description:
Kensington and Chelsea is one of London’s most diverse boroughs, with areas of deprivation found alongside some of the capital’s most famous attractions. It is, therefore, our commitment to give young people from a wide range of backgrounds the best possible start in life.

Responsible for developing water sports and outdoor education for 9-19 year olds in local schools, community and club settings, you will use sports as a tool to work with young people to enable the development of their overall personal and social education.

A professional approach in the planning, preparation and organisation of coaching sessions, and the ability to develop accredited learning opportunities for young people that enable them to access further education, is important to succeed in
this role.

You will have experience of facility operation procedures, and be a confident and motivated communicator, with a good knowledge of paddle sports. Candidates will need to hold a Level 2/3 canoe or kayak Instructors award.

Duration of employment June-September.
