Description:
If you are 25 or over and are interested in a rewarding and adventurous experience this summer then Raleigh International is looking for you!

We are looking for dedicated drivers for our 13 week expedition in Costa Rica & Nicaragua starting on 18th June.

Raleigh works in partnership with government, local communities and NGO's on worthwhile and sustainable, environmental, community and adventure projects and needs top quality people to help to run the expeditions.

Every programme has complex transport requirements that include visits to the various project sites. Joining a team of approximately 3 drivers, and reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for driving the programme fleet to the standards laid down by the Raleigh International Vehicle Driving Rules and Regulations, which include all safety aspects such as speed restrictions, risk awareness and minimum rest periods. The driver team will also be responsible for the maintenance of the vehicles. Journeys embarked upon will include logistical resupply, Fieldbase visits and materials supply to all project sites. There are usually quite a few project sites, some of which will be extremely remote and will require a team of 2 drivers to travel for many hours on unpaved roads.

Safety is the top priority in country and each driver will receive full 4x4 training and be expected to attain a high level of competence in driving Land Rovers. There will also be basic maintenance training for each driver. Each driver will be required to pass an assessment on their driving skills in the UK and on arrival in country.

Please note that all volunteer managers will be expected to make a financial contribution to the charity to help run the expedition.

If this sounds of interest to you please do not hesitate to contact me.

Our next London open event will be on 21st May!
