Skill Force is a registered charity with 40 teams accross England, Scotland and Wales. We deliver proven alternative curriculum programmes to young peopleaccross the country, initiating interest and aspiring achievement.

New opportunities for instructors have arisen in the Oldham area. 2 x One year contracts and 1x permanent contract are being awarded to successful candidates in order to achieve greater coverage of short courses in the Oldham area. Working with existing and successful Skill Force teams, the new postholders will either deliver short courses directly or work within our longer 2-year provisions to enable greater reach and flexibility.

These jobs offer exciting opportunities for candidates who can grasp quickly the central tenets of Wider Key Skills delivery to young people operating in schools at Levels One and Two. Paramount is the desire and ability to work with a range of young people from the most challenging to the most able.

It is vital that candidates are self-motivating and excellent communicators, both within the classroom and outdoors where required. Maintaining existing and excellent relationships with school staff and management is a vital additional feature of these highly challenging and rewarding posts.

Successful applicants will possess relevant experience of instruction and will either have - or be prepared to work towards a recognised national qualification in teaching and learning. Literacy and Numeracy at level 2 is a requirement of the job. Applicants should hold a full, clean driving licence, preferably with the ability to drive minibuses (D1). Outdoor Educational qualifications are also desirable. The successful applicants will be subject to Criminal Records Bureau checks to enhanced level.
