Le Chateau du Broutel
We have opportunities for fluent French speakers to work at Le Chateau du Broutel assisting with our French language modules for groups of visiting English schoolchildren.
Le Chateau is a beautiful historic building set in over 40 acres of grounds on the edge of the small town of Rue in Northern France. We provide a range of educational courses covering Outdoor Activities, WW1 Battlefield Tours, French Experience and French Language Modules.
The role of Language Co-ordinator will primarily involve leading our well established French language modules. The emphasis is on conversational French through contact with the local people and culture in a series of structured activities. The modules have been designed by teachers and are mainly aimed at key stages two and three and pre-GCSE students with at least 1-2 years experience of learning French.
When not involved in presenting the Language modules duties include assisting with Administration in the office, Reception, Childrens tuck shop and the bar. All of which require use of French language skills.
We offer rewarding work with good working conditions in a friendly team environment. The salary is £13,000 per annum, pro rata with 28 days paid holiday per annum, a live in option is available at a very reasonable cost. The contract would initially be for eleven months from January 2008.
