At Burs we offer a wide range of white water activities for both kayakers and canoeists alike. The staff are friendly and professional and offer a relaxed safe environment on all coaching courses.

Intro to running the white stuff.
This two day course covers all aspects of how to paddle up to grade two rivers.
Aspects covered on this course include strokes and timing, reading the river, river safety and equipment.
After you have completed the course you can be confident in the knowledge that you have all the skills necessary to paddle without an instructor.

Kayaking and Canoeing for beginners
If you have never tried kayaking or canoeing before, but have always fancied trying, then why not book in for one of our fun taster sessions. All equipment and instruction is provided – all you have to do is turn up and have fun!

River Improvers
This course is for those of you who already paddle comfortably on grade 1-2 rivers and want to move your skills up to 2-3, then why not come on our river improvers course. This two day course is tailor made to meet the needs of our clients. Things that can be covered on the course include nailing breakouts, river leadership and even basic river play. Individual feedback from our expert coaches will give you the opportunity to tweak your skills and take your paddling to the next level.
