Located in the Burrs Country Park and set alongside the River Irwell the Burrs Activity Centre is the leading outdoor activity facility for young people in the North Manchester region.
Activities on site range from white water kayaking to archery and orienteering. Our team of fully qualified instructors can also provide fun activities such as raft building, abseilling and river crossing, in fact anything that you and your group want to try!
We also have an indoor climbing wall to get you off the ground and climbing sessions can also be arranged at local crags.
The centre has extensive catering facilities and accommodation in high quality bunkhouse style above the centre.
Close to the centres main buildings is a country pub also offering good food and drinks for the grown ups. The centre of Bury is close by and offers a wide range of places to eat and drink in addition to the famous Bury food market.
