The Red Ridge Centre was set up in 1978 and soon established a reputation as one of the country's leading outdoor education centres, offering residential and non-residential courses to a wide range of groups and individuals.
We are still a family run business and proud of our highly professional and long serving team, dedicated to providing outdoor pursuits to guests in a safe and friendly manner.

The centre is licensed by AALA, the Adventure Activity Licensing Authority.
We are founder members of "Adventure for All", a group of leading outdoor centres dedicated to enabling persons of all abilities to participate in outdoor pursuits.
We emphasise the positives and minimise the negatives, applaud success and minimise failure.

Specialist weeks for Individuals with a disability
During these special weeks we offer holidays to those individuals who can more or less look after their own needs but who need greater security than they would find on a mainstream holiday. Although we do not offer nursing care, our experienced carers and instructors will ensure that all needs of the individual are met. Please try to tell us of all your needs.

The majority of our guests have been enjoying holidays at Red Ridge for many years and enjoy meeting up with old friends each August. Those visiting for the first time will find a very friendly welcome both from the 'regulars' and from our friendly staff.
These few special weeks are intended for like minded people who want to enjoy an active, but peaceful holiday, amongst friends. Those with behavioural problems are welcome at other times.

Specialist weeks for Supported Individuals.
These holidays are intended specifically for persons with disabilities, who need to come with their carers, and who want to meet like minded people whilst on their holidays. We understand how difficult it can be to find an appropriate holiday for just one person with a disability, and the above dates are an attempt to group such persons together and provide a meaningful holiday amongst friends.
