About UKSA:

UKSA is a youth charity offering transformational opportunities for young people through sailing and watersports. We focus on three areas: personal development, schools and group visits, and professional maritime training. We are based in Cowes, Isle of Wight - the heart of the yachting world.

Course details:
If you have just finished your GCSE’s and want to work in the watersports industry, our 26 week Watersports Instructor Traineeship programme could be what you are looking for. The course will train you to become a multi discipline watersports instructor with a number of weeks dedicated to work experience. These weeks will enable students to develop, display and relate skills learned on the programme within a professional environment.

This course is fully-funded as part of a full-time 16-18 year-old further education (FE) programme. 

Entry requirements:
Students who do not have a 9-4 GCSE grades in English or Maths will be required to complete functional skills in English and Maths during the course
An interest or experience in watersports or outdoor education with the desire to become an outdoor education instructor 
Successful selection day at UKSA

26 weeks

Cowes, Isle of Wight, UK

Upon completion, successful learners will be a fully qualified Dinghy, Windsurf, Stand-Up Paddleboard and Paddlesport Instructor. These qualifications, plus UKSA’s careers and employment advice, will prepare students to take their first steps into employment within the UK.
