Description:
Snorkelling, Sand and Sailing

Overview
From our base on the Scottish island of Cumbrae, we will spend our days snorkelling, sailing, rock pooling, crabbing and looking out for seals and porpoise and relaxing on the beach. The week is packed with loads of activities, so at the end of the week everyone will have stories to tell around the campfire.

There will be a half day session sailing from the island, including tuition for all those new to this exciting sport. We'll also go snorkelling twice, in special spots around the island where you can see some of the magical things which live just below the water's surface. (please note all participants in these activities need to be able to swim 50m - any stoke will do and it doesn't need to look pretty!).

We'll also go wildlife watching, keeping our eyes peeled for porpoise, seals and dolphins and hunt around in some of our local rock pools for colourful sea life. There will be a chance to do some bush craft activities, including making your own fire and soup from things you have scavenged near the beach and for those who still have some energy a day of beach games at the end of the week.

This break runs concurrently with our Scottish Island Seaside Wildlife week, enabling families who have children who want to go on different breaks to come away together.

Activities include:
Sailing
Snorkelling
Beach Games
Campfire
Bushcraft
Rock Pooling
Crabbing
Boat Trip
