If you enjoy walking and want to understand the basics of navigating in the hills then join us for an introduction to navigation. Our two day courses are designed for beginners who would like to learn the techniques involved in map reading and compass work. You will be taught how to take a bearing, orientate a map and follow a route using notable features and the information you have gathered. The course will provide you with a broad overview of the key elements involved in navigation without introducing complex methods or systems.
