BCU 2 Star Training
If you have been in a canoe and a kayak before and would like to learn more about paddling, the 2 Star Award gives you the opportunity to broaden your skills in both craft. All of the 2 Star techniques will be covered including moving sideways, rescuing others and steering effectively. You will also take part in a sheltered water journey to help you understand more about safety, leadership and group skills. You will finish the course with a clear understanding of what is required for the 2 Star Award and a personal action plan leading to assessment.
Previous experience: must have paddled two different craft and be able to swim.
