Description: Outdoor Instructor Training Course
River Deep Mountain High are offering two Outdoor Instructor Training Courses. The Access Course will provide a foundation in a wide range of outdoor qualifications and skills. The Progression course is for those who have already gained some training qualifications and need the experince to complete there assessments.
This course is Ideal as a Career change catalyst or alternative to University for those serious about a career in the outdoor Industry, wanting to take their first step and be developed into well-rounded outdoor instructors with an excellent range of technical and soft skills.
We believe we are unique in the variety of activities we offer and the lack of travel around the Country needed to do all these activities meaning greater contact time with your Instructors. Other than one week in Scotland all activities are within 45 minutes of our base, taking place in both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
The programme will help candidates to work towards national governing body qualifications.
You will gain the following;
*SPA -Training
*ML -Training
*RYA Powerboat Level 1 and 2 - Training and Assessment
*SMBLA Trail Cycle Leader -Training
*BCU 2 Star - Training and Assessment
*UKCC Level 1 Coach - Training and Assessment
*RYA Level 1 and 2 Dinghy -Training and Assessment
*Foundation Safety and Rescue -Training
*White-Water Safety and Rescue -Training
*Disability Awareness Training
*First Aid 2 Days
BCU 3 Star Canoe and Kayak Training and Assessment.
The course fee including all trainings and assessments.
£5,510 per session which averages at £290 per week for a 19 week session.This does not include accommodation
There are payment options available and possibly career development loans by your local career development agencies, and in some circumstances grants are available from you local learning skills council or enterprise agency, covering 50% of the course fee eg Furness Enterprise in our region.
