Mountain Water Experience is one of the premier
Adventurous Activity and Field Study centres in the South West.
Great news for the future! Due
to an expansion in our operating season we have a number of available
dates during the autumn, winter and spring seasons. Please do

As a unique company we are able to offer you and your group some
fantastic individual opportunities.
Exclusive use of the centre and all facilities
for groups of 30+ students. All courses are developed to meet
your individual and exacting requirements. Independent and individual
attention from start to finish.
A presentation to your staff, pupils and parents
is available, free of charge.
Weather - The MWE centre is situated
in an area of the UK that offers fairable weather conditions throughout
the year for all adventurous activities and field study work.
Accommodation - All groups are accommodated
in comfortable twin bedded or bunk rooms, or dormitories. The
centre is open all year and can provide fantastic facilities for
up to 60+ persons.
Catering - Full board is provided including
cooked breakfast, packed lunch and a three course dinner plus
hot bedtime drinks.
Free places - For every ten students
on your course there is one staff member free place available.
Pastoral rates available for those staff not participating in
the activities.
Free Weekends - Open weekends are available
for course leaders and organizers to view the Centre, see our
facilities, meet the staff, sample our cooking, see the surrounding
area. These weekends prove to be invaluable to those who are seriously
considering a trip to South Devon.
Transport - We can arrange your transport
to and from the Centre and offer advice on the best and most economical
way of getting around once you are here. Very useful in the narrow
lanes of Devon.
Courses & Programs - As each and
every course at Mountain Water Experience is unique we are able
to provide you with a program that will meet your budget requirements.

Staffing - All MWE staff are fully
qualified in their fields and are CRB checked.
Legislation and the Outdoors. Activity Centres (
Young Persons’ Safety) Act 1995.
Since 1995 the Activity Centres ( Young Persons’
Safety ) Act has been in place and so all providers of outdoor
activities to young people under eighteen must undergo an inspection
of their operations and be granted a license to continue operating.
Mountain Water Experience has held its license since 18th May
1997.

Mountain Water Experience was formed by two partners,
Mark Agnew and Chris Wilson, in November 1996 in response to new
legislation brought in by the government to legislate the outdoor
activity industry. Both Mark and Chris have many years experience
as Nationally Qualified instructors in the Outdoor Education Industry.
Mountain Water Experience operates from a residential
centre in the South Hams of Devon. However the company is not
restricted to any one area or region and we often run courses
around the country.
