Description: BTEC CERTIFICATE IN ACTIVITY AND ADVENTURE TOURISM
The programme will deliver the knowledge and understanding required to be an effective employee in this new growth area of travel and tourism.
This is a new programme developed as a joint venture between the Centre for Travel and Tourism Studies and Sport and Outdoor at Craven College. The content and delivery will be informed by our industry partners and will include a residential.
You will learn about the travel industry and tour operations and develop knowledge and understanding of the developing sector of activity and adventure tourism worldwide.
You will develop the practical skills needed to be an effective employee within adventure and activity tour operations both in the UK and overseas.
You will also have the opportunity to develop practical skills and gain additional qualifications e.g. Mountain Leader, Single Pitch Award, etc.

Entry Requirements:
4 GCSEs at grade C or above plus English and Maths ( min’ D)
Work Experience:
Year One on Overseas Study visit to Major Tourist Resort.
Year Two with UK Based Activity Specialist
