Description:
These are 4 day courses intended for novice / intermediate canoeists who wish to experience recreational canoe sport in a range of environments and boats.

During the 4 day course participants will be introduced to the basic skills required to control open canoes and kayaks and then have the opportunity to apply them on moving water, white water and the sea. This could possibly lead to BCU star and paddlepower awards The venues used will include the beautiful rivers of the Welsh borders and the Gower.

Course members should be able to swim and be willing to paddle in both kayaks and canoes. All specialist clothing and equipment will be provided.

Safety issues will be fully addressed throughout the programme which will be led by experienced and qualified canoeing coaches.
