Description:
Welcome to Bushtruck. The nature of our courses is to give people a greater understanding of bushcraft and to gain wilderness survival skills along the way.
Bushtruck instructors will teach you how to light fires without the use of matches, build shelters from the things around you, and teach you to find and prepare edible wild food, as well as many other skills.
We run a wide range of courses from team building to how to survive in the bush. Our courses are run in and around the Yorkshire dales.
All specialist equipment is provided. Courses are run in a positive learning environment with hands on practical solutions so 100% participation is the norm.
Bushtruck has been developed over a 15 year period and as such has a vast experience in the outdoors. Bushtruck has specialized in bushcraft (survival skills), although our courses and knowledge come from a varied background in the outdoor industry. Our instructors are experienced canoeists, climbers as well as experienced bushmen.
The head of Bushtruck Mike Armstrong is a wilderness E.M.T, advanced casualty care paramedic, swift water rescue technician instructor, bush mechanic and survival expert.
We aim to provide training courses to the highest level, tailored to the clients needs and expectations.
Courses are run from a base camp in a woodland environment. Class sizes can vary from 6-14 students, 14 being the maximum.
Classes will be delivered in the form of talks, explanations, demonstrations, then practice for yourself under guidance from a Bushtruck member of staff.
Please visit the Bushtruck website for full details of all our courses.
