Mountaineering legend Alan Hinkes will be touring the country this autumn with his new live show full of tales about his mountaineering exploits.

Alan is the only Briton to have climbed all 14 of the world’s mountains over 8000m high. This gruelling and dangerous challenge is not for the faint-hearted and only a handful of climbers have achieved it.

Climbing above 8000m requires dedication, skill and fitness, as the body fights for survival in the low oxygen in the area known as the Death Zone. Alan’s achievements earned him an OBE earlier this year.

Tales From The Top features amazing slides and footage of the greatest challenge of his life in the world’s extremes.

He talks inspirationally about his outstanding achievement and takes a look back over his exceptional mountaineering career. ‘Challenge 8000’ – Alan’s quest to climb the 8000m peaks - took 18 years to achieve and Alan describes its highs and lows in this extraordinary show.
