Paddy Dillon
Paddy
Dillon has walked the length of every
major long distance trail in Britain
and Ireland. He has climbed hundreds
of mountains and enjoyed every type
of walking terrain. His travels have
taken him into every county in Britain
and Ireland, where he has both walked
and written about his walks.
Paddy's writing
and photography has appeared in all
the main walking magazines in Britain
and Ireland, and he has written and
illustrated many guidebooks for others
who would like to follow in his footsteps:
- The County Tops
of the British Isles
- Walking in the
North Pennines
- The Mountains
of Ireland
- Guide to the
National Trails of Britain & Ireland
- The Ulster Way
- Walking the Galloway
Hills
- Walking in County
Durham
- The Irish Coast
to Coast Walk
- Walks in &
Around Belfast
- Exploring the
North of Ireland
- Exploring the

... with many more
to be published soon.
He has contributed
to just as many more guidebooks either
as a writer or illustrator. He is a
mine of information about walking in
Britain and Ireland. Paddy's extensive
travels have taken him from the low-lying
Netherlands to the mountains of Nepal,
Tibet and Canada. He has also walked
the ancient pilgrim route - the Camino
de Santiagofrom the French Pyrenees
all the way across Northern Spain.
He is currently
taking part in some of the world-wide
walking events organised by the International
Marching League. When not walking and
travelling, Paddy is based in the English
Lake District. Enclosed picture shows
