Sunday 14th May 2000 - Kangchenjunga Base Camp
After the huge emotions of yesterday's successful summit bid today has been all about getting the tired summiteers down to Base Camp. This was achieved with the help of Dr Andy Hughes who accompanied John and Ady from Camp 3 down to Base Camp, the Sherpas having descended just ahead of them.
The remainder of the climbers have now been reconfigured into two more summit teams and are poised at Camps 1 (James, Aleck, Larry and Roddy) and 2 (Dan, Ian, Dave Pearce and Colin) ready for summit bids later in the week.
Today's pictures show the first summiteers resting at Camp 3 on their way down the mountain today and views from the same place towards Mt Everest.
