Junior Team Update - Sunday 30th April

Yesterday David Nicholls, Ben Macinnes, Dave Goldsmith and Paul Randell had a shot at climbing Ramtang. Our scheduled start at 2 am was delayed by poor weather to 5 am.
The ridge was very difficult as large patches hard blue ice and towers of unconsolidated snow had to be climbed.

Dave and Paul manged to climb the lower part of the ridge before technical difficulty forced them to return to camp 2. Ben and David continued with Ben in the lead up below the summit before large towers of unconsolidated snow blocked further progress.

A fierce biting cold wind blew all day. All climbers are now safely back at base camp. Andy Edington and Tom Hall have gone up to camp 2 to have a second go. Everybody in very good spirits.
