Junior Team Report 20th April 2000

Just a quick report as our battery power is low.

Junior Team in excellent spirits. Yesterday (19/4) a team of 4 (David N, Dan Swift, Ben Macinnes and Mark Lewis) went up the Kanchenjunga Glacier and at the junction of the Mouse Glacier established camp 1. They took some 8 hours and returned very tired and thirsty. The glacier with the sun on it was very very hot.

Today 20th the rest of the team went up and stocked the camp. They left at 0500 and the first returned shortly after 1100. We hope the weather will continue fine so that we can continue to push up the Mouse Glacier to establish camp 2 and then have a shot at our peak.
