The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity providing adventure-based, outdoor learning for young people from six residential centres across the UK.
Our Night-time Duty Supervisors play a key role in the experience our course participants and guests have whilst staying at our busy residential centre. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to join our team this summer – working with young people is a rewarding yet demanding job.
The post holder will need to be confident, responsible, helpful and friendly, and able to relate to and communicate with all types of people.
The Night-time Duty Supervisor patrols inside and outside the centre throughout the quiet hours and alerts the sleep-in duty staff to any problems. This role involves working a 12 hour waking shift throughout the night.
Responsibilities include the safety and security of the centre and its residents throughout the night.
Working or volunteering with young people
Ability to work as part of a team, with guidance from other staff.
The post holder must be at least 18 years old and will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure under the Disclosure and Barring Service.
