Exciting opportunities are now available at Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre for flexible, enthusiastic, versatile, dynamic and organised Seasonal Multi Activity Outdoor Adventure Instructors who will complement our full-time staff team for the 2018 season. It is anticipated there will be 30 to 35 hours work available per week available during the peak season for suitably qualified applicants.

In a pioneering and award winning partnership between Devon County Council and Exeter College, Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre provides a contemporary hub for outdoor activities for young people and adults from Exeter, Devon and across the region. With an innovative approach to education, training and recreation with provision that encompasses the individual needs of a wide range of users, including those disengaged from education, those looking for a short term recreational activity, students wanting to train for a future career in the industry through to professionals undertaking training and development in leadership and development. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and be part of one of the South West most respected outdoor centres.

The successful applicant will hold a minimum of two National Governing Body coaching or leadership awards and be able to demonstrate previous experience leading, coaching and mentoring groups and individuals of all ages and abilities and from every background.
Activity leadership qualifications could include: paddle sports, sailing, rock climbing, climbing wall, caving, mountain biking or archery.

You must be able to work alone, as well as part of the team and have a passion for delivering outdoor and adventurous activity programs which will inspire and motivate participants, enabling them to get the very best results. Priority will ultimately focus on safe practice, as well as learning, enjoyment, and achievement as part of structured practical programs of activity.

The post will include delivery to all users of the Centre involving:
* Approximately 85% outdoor instructional delivery work and 15% centre based admin and preparation time
* Residential and overnight camps as well as evening and weekend sessions.
* Working in all weather conditions.
* Constantly and continually managing the safety, enjoyment and development of different users groups and group members.
