Outdoor Education Instructors
Closing Date - 13th May 2018
Share your interest in outdoor activities and the natural environment with children and young people.
Hudnall Park is recruiting instructors to start from mid-April onwards who can work as part of a team and understands the importance of the ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ agenda.
We are looking for candidates who have the ability to encourage children and young people to challenge themselves, broaden their horizons and try new experiences in a safe and supportive environment whilst developing their personal and social skills. Whilst not essential, relevant National Governing Body coaching or leadership awards would be an advantage. Training and induction will be provided.
You will be teaching environmental and outdoor adventure activities, as well as helping to maintain equipment and welcoming arrivals. You will be required to have experience of working with young people and children, ensure equal opportunities are applied throughout your work and demonstrate your awareness of, and adherence to, health and safety requirements.
Hudnall Park is based in scenic surroundings. The site offers day and residential courses in outdoor educational activities such as mountain biking, archery, team building, habitats, environmental studies, low ropes, obstacle course, shelter building and orienteering. Courses are provided for a wide range of age groups from primary aged children and young people through to adults.
Applicants must be 18 or older and ready to work as part of a team. In general, the hours will be Monday to Friday, however, on occasion you may be asked to work evenings and weekends.
Access to your own transport is essential due to the location of the site.
