A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Woodmill. We are looking for an exceptional instructor who is dynamic; self motivated and be able to draw on a range of outdoor coaching and teaching practices to create significant and beneficial experiences for our supporters. We would like someone who can translate their passion for sport into meaningful conversations with potential supporters and persuade them to get Active on one of our amazing courses or programmes.
Woodmill Outdoor Activities Centre is set in 17 acres of woodland surrounded by a variety of water environments. As an LOtC, Adventuremark and BCU accredited Centre, Woodmill offers top quality canoeing and kayaking courses as well as host of land and offground activities, including highropes, climbing and archery. The Centre caters for a wide range of users including adults, schools and families and has a Paddleabilty programme for people with disabilities.

What motivates you and why a new challenge might appeal to you
How you think we can use adventurous outdoor sports to achieve the Charity's mission
As part of a team you will need to use your excellent observational skills to ensure we deliver the highest standards in health, safety and service quality.
Be able to develop excellent relationships with key supporters and partners and to contribute in achieving outstanding results.
Use campaigning techniques to actively promote the centre and recruit supporters onto our courses. This will include, but is not limited to; contacting supporters on our database to develop interest in our products, actively up selling product options to users attending the centre, responding swiftly and concisely to enquiries to ensure these prospects are converted into bookings.
Need to hold a range of outdoor instruction qualifications to enable you to lead sessions (minimum qualification required: UKCC Level two Coach), a valid First Aid at Work qualification, other qualifications including GNAS and CWA would be desirable.
Undertake a variety of front of house duties including using the computerised booking system, processing a variety of payments systems ensuring the charity’s financial resources are securely reconciled, cleaning and supporting retail operations.
Demonstrate unwavering attention to detail as you take part in a duty rota to fulfil the day to day functions required to deliver a save, quality and meaningful service.
