Outdoor & Environmental Instructor/Tutor
We are looking for an outdoor instructor (March - November initially) with a genuine love of the outdoors and a passion for delivering OAA courses and activities. You would be working as part of the Simonsbath House Team setting up and leading outdoor adventurous & curriculum focused fieldwork activities to residential and day visiting groups, assisting with the community programme of activities and working with adult groups leading walks and special interest breaks.
You would be responsible for the centres on site climbing activities including setting up, taking down of session equipment, record keeping and end of year report.
You would be expected to contribute to the general running of the centre and assist with the maintenance and repair of centre equipment.
Activities include: mountain biking, climbing, high ropes elements, assault course, archery, problem solving , mountain boarding, grass sledging, map work, stream scramble, shelter building, river study, guided walks and environmental activities.
We are looking for someone with a degree in a relevant discipline and/or relevant NGB's CWA minimum with climbing experience, SPA preferred.
We offer single accommodation, plus meals whilst on duty, training in all the activities offered by SHOC plus 22 days holiday pro rata
