Outdoor Instructors and Trainee Outdoor Instructors

Outdoor instructors and Trainee Outdoor Instructor wanted to assist in the Planning and Delivery of a variety of sessions within a Multi Activity Outdoor Centre in Tavistock.

You will work with groups ranging from single activity days to two week long Residential. You will lead activities with people from all ages and backgrounds, primarily with visiting language groups to the country. The activities you will lead and facilitate are broad, from Kayaking and Canoeing, to Archery, Swimming and walking.
You will also need to undertake the necessary ground work and maintenance of the Centre and equipment.

This vacancy does come with the option for you to live at the centre, with a small deduction from your pay packet required. Your food is included in this. You will still receive days off per week. Non- residential is also available to applicants.

Moorland Hall is situated approximately 4 miles north of Tavistock on the western boundary of Dartmoor National Park. The house itself has direct access onto the moor and is ideally placed for offering a huge variety of outdoor pursuits using the area’s natural facilities.

Jo Farrington has been involved in organising outdoor pursuits for young people for some 15 years, and together with their team of qualified and dedicated instructors ensure that everyone gets the maximum benefit from their stay.

What we want from are Instructors -
Preferably some experience of the Outdoor Activity industry / or basic understanding of it. 
Specific outdoor qualifications such as the NLPQ, BCU UKCC Level 1 coaches, SPA, D1 qualifications are highly sought after.
First Aid qualification
Good people skills
Be enthusiastic, reliable, and honest and have a genuine interest in the outdoor activity sector and working with children and adults.
