World Challenge is now seeking a professional and resourceful person to provide the management focal point for our 24-hour Operations Centre.

The role…
In this challenging and central role, you’ll manage our Operations Centre to provide a comprehensive support and incident handling service to 400+ overseas expedition teams in various developing world locations.
Project management of movement and set up of our new Operations Room from North West London to our award-winning new Head Office in High Wycombe.
Recruitment and management of seasonal watch-keepers.
Maintenance of resources and development of new systems.
Satellite phone and distress beacon administration
Liaison with external emergency services and agencies in the UK and overseas.

Your profile…
Experience within a military or emergency services operations room environment; and of related operational issues.
Management of people, time and resources.
Effective self organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
Ability to demonstrate effective forward planning.
Confident decision maker within a fast moving and operationally driven environment.
Excellent communication skills: experienced at verbal and written communication to senior management level.
Budget management experience.
Customer focused and awareness.
IT skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, experience of databases.
Developing world / independent travel experience.
Empathy towards the World Challenge ethos and spirit.
