We use outdoor adventurous activities, as part of our personal development programme, to engage Birmingham’s socially excluded young people and we want you to join our team. Activities include: hill walking, climbing and water sports and we want you to help extend it further.
As a Development Tutor in Fairbridge West Midlands you will plan and deliver a range of sessions and courses (including residential). With skills in the outdoors and at least proven relevant experience, you will have at least three if not more, of the following qualifications:
SPA
ML Summer / Winter
Level 2 Canoe Coach
Local Cave Leader
Mountain/BASP First Aid Cert
You will also have a full clean driving licence, ideally with D1 + E enabling you to drive minibuses with a trailer. Your ability to inspire and relate to our challenging client group, along with your awareness of issues affecting young people, is key.
In return, we offer a fun and supportive work environment as well as development opportunities including an entitlement to 5 training days each year. Working only Monday- Friday, you will also receive 28 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) rising to 32 days with length of service and employer pension contributions.
