Description:
Burrs Activity Centre Ltd is a small centre situated within Burrs Country Park located close to the town centre of Bury and the borders of Bolton and Manchester. The River Irwell is a grade 2/3 river which runs through the park within easy reach of the Centre. The Centre covers a wide range of activities which include; Kayaking, Canoeing, Raft Building, Climbing, Abseiling, Archery, Orienteering, Team Building and Problem Solving. Our users include schools, colleges, families and corporate groups who take advantage of the unique location.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our small team for the 2008 Season. Instructors will be responsible for providing quality outdoor experiences to groups from taster sessions to corporate team building, they will also be required to help with the day to day running of the Centre.

Successful applicants with be given a full training programme of the activities on offer at the Centre and will be CRB checked.

Accommodation is not available on-site and is not included in the job package.

QUALIFICATIONS
Level 2 Kayak/Canoe Coach/Trainee
SPA Trained
Experience of working in an Outdoor Centre
Current First Aid Certificate

GNAS and High Ropes experience would be an advantage
