Air Scar Routes

You can find Air Scar at Grid Ref 031 604 on Outdoor Leisure map No 10 (Yorkshire Dales Sth). With thanks to Tony Simpson for submitting these new routes.

TOPO and Map to follow, parking for the crag is half a mile outside Burnsall village on the road to Bolton Abbey/Ilkely.

At the top of the footpath out of the woods, turn right and scout round the edge of the moor near the wall until you are underneath the overhanging Arete.

1. Wide Crack HS.
2. Lay  back the Arete to the Top (not hard) E3 5c
3. Diagonal finger crack (did not clean this) to Top E3 5c
4. Wide gully to off-width crack and top E1 5b/c
5. Obvious crack SV 4a
6. Wall of obvious holds to top under block HS 4b
7. Overhanging ramp E6 6c
8. Roof problem E4 6a
