What is the AMI?
The Association of
Mountain Instructors is the representative
body of professionally qualified mountaineering
instructors in the British Isles. The
A.M.I. is committed to guaranteeing quality
and promoting good practice in all mountaineering
instruction.
A.M.I.
members are highly experienced mountaineers
who have undergone rigorous training and
assessment to qualify under the United
Kingdom Mountain Training Board (UKMTB)
Mountain Instructor Scheme. They are trained
not only in technical mountaineering skills
but also in the personal skills of teaching
and mountain leadership.
A.M.I. has over 600
members throughout the UK, all committed
to excellence and to giving you the very
best in mountaineering instruction.
